WELCOME TO KNOCKMITTEN UNITED F.C
Knockmitten United was formed as part of an amalgamation process of two local soccer clubs, Hillview Utd & Monksfield F.C.
After many years of talks the amalgamation beared fruit at the start of 2008 when both clubs finally decided to merge. With alot of hard work over the initial few months and the formation of the committee, Knockmitten United F.C was formally launched at its open day on the 28th June 2008. This day was a great success for both the club and the community. It has brought great spirit to the local area and has proved what can be achieved when people pull together. The club was extremely proud to have the minister for health Mary Harney present on the day to make a speech and present some of our awards. We also had Matt Gregg of U.C.D and Brendan Clarke of St. Patricks Athletic presenting awards to our schoolboys. Knockmitten United has developed in its initial years with 7 No. Schoolboy teams & 3 No. Senior teams for the 2011 / 2012 season.
